Dubai, United Arab Emirates —August 25, 2015 — Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM) today announced that Aptec, an Ingram Micro company, one of the largest value-added technology distributors in the Middle East, Turkey and Africa, has expanded its product portfolio with a new vendor partner, Emerson Network Power. Since July, Emerson Network Power’s single phase uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), racks and power distribution units are part of Aptec group portfolio. Aptec offers Emerson’s small and medium business (SMB) single phase UPS solutions to its customers and partners as the selected distributor in few Gulf countries: U.A.E, Bahrain, Oman and Qatar. Martin Meitza, senior business unit manager of Aptec, mentions, “Adding Emerson into our portfolio allows us to further enhance the ability of our partners to procure full solutions from one place. “The channel has never been more important to Emerson Network Power and we have been growing our channel business strongly over the past decade. We already have an established relationship with Ingram Micro across Europe and I am delighted to expand Emerson Network Power’s range within Ingram Micro to the Gulf region. It is an important step in the continued implementation of our channel strategy as we align all our distributors to have access to our full solutions portfolio. We see this as being critical to achieving growth objectives. To support this partnership, Ingram Micro is investing into the Emerson business by appointing a dedicated Emerson Network Power business development manager”, Pierre Havenga, Managing Director, Emerson Network Power, Middle East and Africa, explained.

Focus on small and medium business solutions.
